September Meeting Notes

Our September meeting was yesterday, and here is a summary of what we talked about:

Magical Acts of Warmth - This project is officially wrapped up. Over the past few months, we have been knitting snuggles for the Snuggles Project (www.snugglesproject.org) and afghan squares for Warm Up America (www.warmupamerica.org). Thank you to everyone who participated in this project!

Craft Fair - We will be participating in Marple Christian Church's craft fair on Saturday October 16. Some of the things we are making for this are pillows, scarves, picture frames, and decorations. Through this, we are hoping to raise money for the HPA and the Firefly Foundation (www.fireflykidz.org).

Halloween - We will be having a chapter Halloween party on Sunday October 24th. We will be making Halloween goodies for the residents at Fair Acres Nursing Home.

TerraCycle - This is an ongoing project. We are collecting candy wrappers for TerraCycle; then they make a donation to the HPA.

Operation Write Home - We are making cards/writing letters to soldiers as part of Operation Write Home (www.operationwritehome.org). We hope to continue participating in this project for at least a little while longer.

Next Meeting - Our next chapter meeting will be October 2.
