Our October meeting was this past Saturday, and here are the notes:
Halloween Project - This year's Halloween project was making cards for the residents of Fair Acres Nursing Home. It was a lot of fun! Thank you to everyone who participated!
Catching Fire - To coincide with the release of the Catching Fire film, we will be running a food drive through the month of November to benefit the Delco Interfaith Food Network.
Next Meeting - Our next meeting will be Sunday November 10th. We will be doing cards to benefit the Red Cross' Holiday Mail for Heroes campaign.

Reminders

2. There are only a few days left in the HPA's Equality for the Win campaign. There are some pretty sweet perks, including signed Harry Potter books from JK Rowling! Please donate if you can and/or spread the word! http://www.equalityftw.org

September Meeting Notes
Our September meeting was on Saturday, and here are the notes:
Equality FTW - Equality FTW, the HPA's annual fundraiser, just kicked off a few days ago. In addition to donating to a great cause, you can also claim some pretty sweet perks when you donate. There are perks from Evanna Lynch, John and Hank Green, and Maureen Johnson, just to name a few. Donate here: http://igg.me/at/eftw/x/

Crafty Projects - We have been working on our crafty projects for a while now and plan to wrap those up within the next few weeks!

July Meeting Notes
Superman Is An Immigrant - The HPA/Imagine Better and Define American recently launched Superman Is An Immigrant (http://www.supermanisanimmigrant.com). In this campaign, we are telling our American story. While we think of Superman as an all-American hero, he is actually an immigrant, coming to Earth from another planet. Like Superman, many of us can trace our roots to other places. Please check out the website and consider submitting your own American story. (We wrote our stories at the meeting, but this is definitely something you can participate in on your own if you missed it!)
Summer Crafty Projects - We will be continuing our crafty projects through the summer. We are writing letters/coloring for Operation Write Home (http://www.operationwritehome.org). We are also knitting/crocheting for the Snuggles Project (http://www.snugglesproject.org) and Warm Up America (www.warmupamerica.org).
